July School Holidays

The July school holiday period from the 5th to the 20th saw the resort open 7 days a week, with high visitation both during the week and especially over the weekends. The snow conditions leading into the holidays was limited, until we were lucky enough to receive approximately 20cm of fresh snow on July 10th, followed by a few more days of 3-5cms. This meant we were able to offer cross-country skiing, with freshly groomed trails on most days.

With over 45,000 visitors during this two-week period, it certainly was a busy, yet memorable time for everyone!

Events

Following on from the school holiday period, we had Christmas in July on the 26th & 27th. Mr & Mrs Claus made a special journey to the resort, spreading Christmas joy & judging snowmen building competitions.

Many families were able to get a picture with Santa, inside on the stage, or out and about on resort. Check out some of the snaps below!

Lenny Leadbeater

Lenny the Leadbeater Possum, our resort mascot, also made an appearance throughout July, getting up to all sorts of mischief!

Winter Isn’t Over Yet

Despite surpassing the halfway mark for the season, there is no slowing down at Lake Mountain. We’ve been busy with many school groups during the weekdays, participating in a variety of skiing, tobogganing, snow play and hiking.

Snow making is also continuing whilst the weather remains on our side, keeping our fingers crossed for some more natural snow in the coming weeks.

The weekends are still expected to see high visitation, which is why we highly recommend pre-purchasing your resort entry pass online, prior to arriving at the resort. Otherwise, enjoy the quieter times by visiting on a weekday (Monday, Thursday or Friday).
