Winter has delivered a welcome boost to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, with late July bringing the best natural snowfall we’ve seen this season. After weeks of relying on our Snow Factory to keep the winter fun going, Mother Nature finally joined the party, transforming the mountain into a true alpine playground.

❄️ Fresh Snow Arrives

Late July delivered several snowfalls across the resort, including our biggest dump of the season with 16cm falling across the village and around 20cm recorded at the snow gauge. The fresh snow refreshed the landscape, covered the ski trails, and created fantastic conditions for visitors to experience a true winter wonderland.

Combined with our Snow Factory, the natural snowfall has allowed us to continue offering quality snow experiences while showcasing just how beautiful Lake Mountain becomes after a fresh dump of snow.

🎿 Cross-Country Skiing Returns

One of the season’s biggest milestones has been the return of cross-country skiing. Thanks to the fresh snow, our grooming team has been able to prepare selected ski trails, with direct access right from the Village.  Welcome back to all our skiers – we missed you! While grooming has been limited, it’s been fantastic to see visitors once again enjoying one of Victoria’s favourite cross-country ski destinations. Trail availability continues to depend on weather and snow conditions, so we encourage visitors to check the latest trail reports before travelling.

🛷 Koala Creek Toboggan Run Opens

Another exciting milestone has been the opening of the Koala Creek Toboggan Run. As our longest and steepest toboggan run, Koala Creek has quickly become a favourite for families looking for an extra thrill. Its opening adds even more variety to the snow play experience, alongside our Village Toboggan Run and dedicated snow play areas.

🎄 Christmas in July Success

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Christmas in July.  Across the weekend, the resort was filled with festive cheer as families met Santa and Mrs Claus, built snowmen, festive food specials and embraced the unique experience of celebrating Christmas surrounded by snow. It was one of the highlights of our winter season, with plenty of smiles, memorable photos, and a wonderful community atmosphere across the mountain.

🚗 Before You Visit

Alpine conditions can change quickly, so we recommend checking the latest weather, snow conditions, road updates, and wheel chain requirements before travelling. Keeping up to date helps ensure a safe and enjoyable visit.
