Tobogganing

The Village Toboggan Run, Mini Toboggan Run & Koala Creek Toboggan Run require a Toboggan Access Ticket.

Included in this ticket is the use of a compliant toboggan provided by Lake Mountain upon entering the toboggan run. (Non Lake Mountain toboggans are NOT permitted on any of the ticketed runs) This ticket will give you all day access to all open toboggan runs, until 3.30 when they close. All toboggans must be handed back to the hut, upon exiting either the village or mini run, and can be collected again, upon re-entering the run.

Toboggan Access Tickets:

Adult (over 5yrs) $30.00

Adult & Child (under 5yrs) $40.00

Free tobogganing is available at Leadbeater’s Toboggan run when open with sufficient natural snow, requiring the use of your own compliant toboggan.

To get the most out of your visit, we strongly recommend arriving early, when gates open at 8am, and our toboggan runs are still firm and fresh from grooming the night before. Runs are groomed every night, which provides the best opportunity for the snowpack to set up for the following day, and increase longevity. We do not groom during the day as this is a considerable safety hazard to participants on the slope and doesn’t result in any noticeable consolidation of the snowpack.

*Some toboggan runs may not be available on the day due to conditions, visitation or operational factors. READ full terms and conditions here

Snow Play

We have a designated snow play area located next to our ticketed toboggan runs that will be maintained with artificial snow throughout the season, if the conditions allow.

This area will provide the perfect landscape for building snow men or having a friendly snowball fight with your friends and family! Toboggans are not permitted in our snow play area and must be handed back to the toboggan huts upon exiting either the Village or Mini run.

Check out our resort map to see where snow play is located!

Limited space available.

Cross Country Skiing

With over 30km of groomed cross-country ski trails, Lake Mountain is the perfect place to experience cross-country skiing.

Cross-country Skiing lessons will not be offered during the 2025 snow season, along with rental ski equipment at Lake Mountain.

If interested in participating in XC skiing, please hire your equipment in town prior to arriving at the resort.

Winter Walks

There’s more than one way to see our incredible mountain, and if you’re thinking about snow hiking or snowshoeing in Victoria, this is the perfect place to do it.

With snowshoes you can walk along the 30km worth of ski trails. Visitors without snowshoes or skis are not allowed to walk along the ski trails as the footsteps can be damaging to the groomed trails. *Snowshoes are available to hire in town.

Explore the winter wonderland beyond the village either along the ski trails or even up to the Summit, where you’ll be met with panoramic views of Marysville and even Melbourne on the clear days!
