The resort concluded winter operations on Sunday 7th September and we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who visited this season. We hope you enjoyed your snow experience and we look forward to seeing you again soon! We said farewell to our amazing Winter Season staff, thank you for all your hard work and dedication. We wish you all the very best for your future plans! Thank you for the continued support of our local community. We had just over 106,000 visitors this season, compared to 93,000 visitors last year. We had double the amount of snow days this season too with a total of 12 days of snow fall. Over the course of the 2025 snow season we received approx. 140cm of snow!
We held some great events over the last few months, the first was Frozen Weekend where Anna and Elsa brought their frozen spirit to the mountain. Then we had Christmas in July where Santa and Mrs. Claus made the long journey down from the North Pole to spread Christmas joy at Lake Mountain. Finally, to help wrap up the season we held “End of Season Wrap-Up Party” with DJ Garry! Garry provided good vibes and great tunes to enjoy our dance party, featuring Lenny the Leadbeater Possum. What better way to bring in the end of the season than having a boogie at the resort with all the fresh snow.
There was no public access to the resort from Monday 8th September until Sunday 28th September as we worked to pack-down the resort after the conclusion of winter operations. We then reopened public access to the resort on Monday 29th September for visitors to enjoy the walking trails and alpine environment once again. Please note whilst Resort Access OPEN. Resort facilities (except public toilets) will be CLOSED during the summer months.
We organised for over 290kgs of food to be donated to Murrindindi Community Food Share, which is an initiative of Foundation Murrindindi. The philosophy behind Murrindindi Community Food Share is “Share what you can, take what you need”. While it took a bit of logistics (thank you to Bourke’s Ice Works Alexandra and Robyn Hill from Foundation Murrindindi) and coordination, the outcome was worth the effort. It ensured that hundreds of kilograms of quality food would be shared with local families instead of going to waste. We’re proud to be able to support our local community.
Clearing is now in progress along the Cascades MTB trail. This is a massive undertaking by our Lake Mountain Operations crew as they work hard at removing fallen trees to open the MTB tracks for our summer. After beginning along Lower Cascades at Harrys Landing to the Lunchroom the team are slowly moving their way back to the top to begin the upper section.
We’re gearing up for another epic MTB season – opening on Melbourne Cup Weekend on 1st November 2025!
