There is a CATASTROPHIC fire danger rating forecast for Friday 9th January 2026, for the North-Central region, resulting in the closure of Lake Mountain Alpine Resort on this day.

🔴No public access to the resort

🔴Cascades MTB Trail CLOSED

🔴No MTB shuttle operations

Additionally due to the increased fire risk for the coming days, we also highly discourage visitors attending Lake Mountain tomorrow as forecasts are changing rapidly and conditions can deteriorate quickly.

We anticipate to re-open the resort & all operations on Saturday 10th January.
