Callum Brown has recently been appointed as the new General Manager at Lake Mountain Alpine Resort. Callum has held senior roles within alpine resorts for over a decade, including at Falls Creek and most recently as Alpine Resorts Victoria (ARV)’s Head of Assets Portfolio Management working across all resorts. Callum grew up in Marysville and has a strong attachment to the region. He will be based in town and looks forward to working more closely with the Lake Mountain team, the local community and visitors.
Dean De Santis, former Lake Mountain General Manager has now transitioned into his new role as General Manager at Falls Creek, remaining within ARV.
The Victorian Gravity Enduro MTB Series will be hosting their 3rd round of the tour at Lake Mountain on April 5th and 6th 2025. The mountain bike event will take place along the Cascades Trail, with six timed sections descending from the Lake Mountain summit to Marysville, each one offering its own set of challenges.
Registrations for the event will close on April 3rd.
Despite the challenging start to the mountain bike season, Cascades has seen consistent visitation across the summer, with our mountain bike shuttle service continuing to provide four shuttle sessions every Saturday and Sunday. The shuttle service will continue up until Sunday April 27th2025 after which the resort will start transitioning to our winter operations.

In preparation for the snow season, the team at Lake Mountain have been focusing on improving the rental department efficiency, improving safety and re-configuring consumer flow around the village. More information about these changes for the 2025 snow season will be available on the Lake Mountain website soon, including finalised access and activity pricing.
